The Armory Foundation is committed to celebrating and welcoming the Washington Heights and Inwood community.  To that end we offer a number of programs and initiatives that represent who we are:  education, fitness, family fun and a world class facility.

Education, Fitness, Family Fun and a World Class Facility

Armory College Prep Middle School Program

Meaningful access to high quality after-school programming can have extraordinary impact for young people. Regular participation can lead to significant gain in student achievement, improved work habits, and reductions in behavior issues.

At the Armory Foundation, we believe that it is never too early to start preparing for college success. That is why we started the Armory College Prep Middle School program: and after-school program designed to engage and support young athletes in Washington Heights on their journeys to college success. We currently provide academic support, computer science education and high school application guidance to eight Washington Heights and Inwood middle schools.

Our three areas of focus aim to equip our students with the knowledge, skills and hunger for learning that are critical to success.
