ACP Volunteer Opportunities

Armory College Prep is a robust after-school program that puts students from undeserved communities on track for life-long success by helping them realize the dream of a four-year college degree.

Armory College Prep is focused on strengthening the students’ academic muscle, while track practice strengthens the students' athletic muscles.

Volunteer Training Table (device free dinners):

When: The third Thursday of each month, beginning in September from 8:00 pm - 8:30 pm.

Come have dinner after the formal academic session of the Armory College Prep to help the students explore nuanced social interactions. This is designed to be a causal dinner conversation. Get to know an Armory College Prep student (or a few) and help them feel comfortable in a social setting with adults.

Volunteer Interview Skills Preparation:

When: By appointment, Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, from October through May

Share your knowledge of how to present your best self for a lifetime of interviewing. For many young people an interview can be a frighteningly difficult process. Help ease their anxiety by offering to sit and conduct a formal interview with them and then review the highs and lows of the interaction.
