Community Programs

Education, fitness, and family fun at a world-class facility.

The Armory Foundation is committed to celebrating and welcoming the Washington Heights, Inwood and Harlem communities.  To that end, we offer a number of programs and initiatives:

CityTrack and Little Feet:

Youth track & field programs

The Armory Foundation offers two track and field programs for students in grades 3-8 who go to school or live in the Washington Heights, Inwood, and Harlem communities of NYC.

CityTrack is designed for middle school students, grades 6-8, to learn and enhance their running, jumping, and throwing skills. You can learn more about this special program here.

Little Feet engages 3rd, 4th and 5th graders to have fun and enjoy the sensation of movement through track & field and related activities.

Sessions run on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:30 to 5:00 pm, from mid-October to late May. Please contact Director of Youth Programming Alberto Aquino at alberto@armorytrack.com if you have any questions.

Space Usage

Situated in the middle of Washington Heights, The Armory can provide a welcoming space for our small, community-based non-profit neighbor organizations to host meetings or small get-togethers on topics that would be of interest to the community.

This application process is designed to award those who apply to be granted use on a first come, first served basis. The Armory depends heavily on rentals to pay for programs, especially during spring, summer and early fall months, but will make every effort to accommodate community-based organizations’ requests. Please contact Glennis Aquino at GAquino@armorytrack.com or 212.923.1803 x 7010 for all inquires. Send all details regarding event (event date and time, anticipated attendance, etc.), along with copy of 501 (c)3 letter to verify non-profit status, to GAquino@armorytrack.com.

The Armory extends the complimentary use of space to Community Board 12, including space for general and committee meetings.
