ACP Taking Advantage of College Early Decision
The class of 2018 has been busy applying for early decision and early action to a variety of colleges. Eighteen seniors out of twenty-two have applied early to at least three colleges. Two students are QuestBridge finalists, which requires up to twelve choices of schools to be decided upon with the applications completed by December 1. The QuestBridge schools include Penn, Brown, Williams, Amherst, Stanford, Dartmouth, Bowdoin, Macalester, Notre Dame, Wesleyan, Princeton, Swarthmore, Yale, Emory, Colby and Haverford.
Three students applied Early Decision to Dartmouth, MIT and Cornell.
The Early Action cohort of colleges includes Boston College, Boston University, Earlham, University of Vermont, Drexel, Albany, Macaul Honors, Bard, Temple, Guilford, Howard, Dickinson, Clark, Marist, Goucher, Gettysburg, Georgia State, Binghamton, Purchase, University at Buffalo, Buffalo State, Daeman College and Ursinus. Two students have applied for the New York Times Scholarship.
This year's senior class has risen to the challenge of preparing superior college applications, preparing for interviews and meeting FAFSA and CSS deadlines. We wish them all the best outcomes possible.
