The Armory: A Community Hub

Last summer, The Armory welcomed a talented group of future public health leaders from the Mailman School of Public Health's PLACE FORWARD program. Folashade Wilson, Janelle Micaela S. Panganiban, and Peter Lewis spent time with us, learning about our community impact.

As part of their fellowship, the trio created a powerful video highlighting organizations in Washington Heights. They showcased their work at the 2024 Equity Showcase, sharing a compilation of special moments from their interviews.

Here is their video about The Armory. Take a look!

The FORWARD Fellows program empowers students to fight oppression and advance racial equity in organizations. By providing resources and professional development, the Office of the Dean fosters a new generation of anti-racist leaders.

We're grateful to Janelle, Folashade, Peter, and the Mailman School of Public Health Digital Learning Studio for shining a light on our work!
