Happy Birthday, Dr. Norbert Sander

August 21, 2020 marks the 78th birthday of Dr. Norbert Sander, the founder of The Armory Foundation. Dr. Sander, who sadly passed away in 2017, transformed The Armory in the early 1990s from a run-down relic into the world-class facility that we know and love today. Every day, we strive to realize Dr. Sander's vision of a space that serves everyone, from elite athletes to children from New York City's underserved communities.
