The Armory Foundation would like to provide our high school students stipends to support their Armory College Prep summer program enrollment at The Armory.

Armory College Prep’s Summer Program helps students get accepted to, succeed in, and flourish after college. Summer is a crucial season for high school students to receive tailored college prep counseling; they don’t have the added time constraints of school, homework, nor after school athletics and other school year commitments. Crucially, enrichment and community is important.

Still, each summer, Armory College Prep loses the enrollment of students whose families need them to take a summer job for financial reasons. We try to raise enough funds to offer a small stipend ($1,000/ per student) to students that complete all of their ACP work and demonstrate perfect attendance. The students able to stay in our summer program reap benefits that exceed that produced by a minimum wage job. Time dedicated to our process is quite literally valuable, enabling students to pave their way financially to and through college and providing them with skills to excel in their future careers.

Our six-week summer programming includes:

  • College research & counseling

  • Financial aid & FAFSA

  • Test prep (PSAT, SAT, Regents)

  • Academic skill-sharpening for impressive transcripts & GPAs

  • Personal statement writing for college applications and scholarships

  • Literature: exploring classics

  • Theater arts: acting & producing *Donors are invited to see the students in action at the presentation of our annual Summer Showcase at The Armory in mid-August!

Your help can support students in their summer program attendance:

$2,520 - Support 1 student

$25,200 - Support 10 students

$75,600 - Support all 30 students (our capacity for effective individualization of programming)
