NYP Cleft Palate Team Day

On Sunday, October 19th, Columbia Surgery hosted their annual Cleft Lip and Palate Team Day at the Armory! The day featured an array of carnival inspired activities, from bouncy houses, face painting, balloon animals, and visits from Spiderman, Superman, and Elsa! Special shoutout to Dr. Thomas A. Imahiyerobo, a cleft palate and surgery specialist who leads the Craniofacial Center at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, and Dr. Jeffrey A. Ascherman, Site Chief, Division of Plastic Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia. They both reunited with many of the families they helped with their cleft lip treatments. The event also highlighted keynote speaker Naomi Hadar, an NYC-based makeup artist and cleft lip palate advocate.
