A Record-Breaking Uptown Games at The Armory
On Saturday, October 26, we hosted our annual Uptown Games, a Halloween-themed celebration that brought children and families together for a day of spirited competition and fun. Children arrived in costume, ready to take part in races, relays, games, and hands-on activities. The enthusiastic young athletes also received Nike sneakers, a wide selection of new books to call their own, and of course, some Halloween candy.
A highlight of the morning was a special showing from our friends at the American Dairy Association Northeast, who brought a five-day-old calf from a nearby New York dairy farm to attempt and succeed at breaking a world record. The young calf ran a 55-meter dash in 21.8 seconds, earning cheers from everyone in attendance.
We’re deeply grateful to our incredible partners and volunteers from AllianceBernstein, the American Dairy Association Northeast, KPMG, Nike, Bloomberg, and the CUIMC Dental School for helping bring this joyful day to life.
