Celebrating Dominican Independence Day with Seniors Aim High

On February 19th, the Seniors Aim High program celebrated Dominican Independence Day in a big way!

Every participant walked away with a special red quarter-zip featuring the Seniors Aim High logo, a Dominican flag, and the Nike logo. This meaningful gift reflects the pride and spirit of our community. On the track, the energy was electric as participants showed off their new jackets and put them to good use with an enthusiastic session.

We were also joined by a special guest from New York Presbyterian Hospital and CUIMC, who spoke with our participants about important issues in healthcare. And to close out the celebration, everyone enjoyed a cupcake topped with a little Dominican flag.

The Seniors Aim High program serves participants from Washington Heights, Inwood, Harlem, and the South Bronx every Tuesday and Thursday.
