CityTrack and Little Feet Celebrate Real Heroes Day with FDNY and NYPD

Real Heroes Day at CityTrack and Little Feet brought together over 200 young participants for an unforgettable afternoon centered on community, learning, and appreciation. With the support of the FDNY and NYPD, our young athletes had the opportunity to engage directly with the individuals who serve and protect their neighborhoods. From exploring a firetruck and ambulance to seeing demonstrations from a K9 unit, robotics dog, and drones, the day was designed to spark curiosity while building trust and familiarity with first responders. The event also drew attention from local media, including coverage from Spectrum News NY1, highlighting the impact and energy of the program.

At its core, Real Heroes Day is about more than just exposure. It’s about connection. By creating space for young people to interact with first responders in a positive, engaging environment, the event aimed to reinforce important messages around safety, communication, and community trust. Through hands-on experiences and a shared group presentation, participants were encouraged to see these everyday heroes as approachable resources in times of need. The day served as a powerful reminder of what’s possible when community organizations and public servants come together with a shared purpose.
